Even when it comes to their emotions, their emotions are cold and they simply took it in and moving past it not reacting to it nor really thinking about it "We return this memory to the Void and find peace in our emptiness." Knowing what we know now I believe it becomes clear of how the choices above could be seen under the lens of Yin-Yang, much of Moon choices the Operator in particular is taking a passive receptive role which could be seen as cold especially in The War Within or The Sacrifice, they simply responded to changes around them and not created any of their own (evident by the Glast Gambit where Moon sends Neewa back home not enacting any change for the Myconian colony). Looking at the choices we are given QUESTS Her Night form (Yin), puts enemies to sleep, pacifies them and is a reactive form focused on healing and embodies 'feminine energy' in their design (which is associated with Yin) while her Day form is active like the sun, makes enemies move faster, and embodies 'masculine energy' in the design (which is associated with Yang). It also helps to understand the existence of a specific frame: Equinox, who embodies Yin/Yang exactly. It is now clear as to which alignment corresponds to which especially if you had already understood what Yin and Yang is, Yin tends to be connected to the Earth and Moon (receptive and passive) while Yang is connected to the Sun (active).
